Marketing MP3 players as podcast receivers is brlliant.
Thats part of what Podcast Ready is doing. Our technology gets pre-loaded onto MP3 players making them self-contained podcast receivers and manager right out of the box with no software to install. The manufacturers love the added functionality, and even print “Podcast Ready” on the box.. which is why Apple is coming after us… but thats a different story.
Currently we’re partnered with five different manufactureres, with two more coming on for CES and we’re in negociations with two cell phone makers and on cell provider.
So look for podcasting to be a larger part of device marketing in 2007…
