“I’m so sorry for your pain” just isn’t enough…but I have nothing better to offer. A mother is always with you. There is no stronger or greater relationship than mother to child.
Sometimes, life doesn’t seem very fair. Sometimes you feel confused and frightened and alone… Sometimes things happen and there’s nothing anyone can say or do to make it better. It just takes time… time to cry… time to heal… time to be…
My family and I join with the rest of the thoughts already posted, and the sentiments that will be posted beneath this one. Certainly, words are difficult at times like this, but please know that you and your family are in our thoughts.
“I say a little prayer for you and your family”……Of course you’ll never forget her, but remember, time does heal all wounds! (Mine died in 1980). God will bless you with strength to go on!!
Words often come up inadequate and hollow at times such as these, but still, I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts. So sorry for your loss Adam.
Adam, God bless you and your family. My mom passed 5 years ago and it hurts as much now as it did then. Lean on your friends and family and you’ll make it. We all do, somehow. Thank the Lord that you had a good relationship with your mom and hopefully, there are no regrets. Hang in there.
Much love and strangth from our home to yours.
The music in todays show was such a beautiful tribute…
May your mother live forever in your heart and in the memories of all who knew her.
It sucks this all happened so close to the big announcments going on in your work life. I guess every bit of sweet gets a little bitter mixed in. Thank god your mother isn’t suffering anymore. All that’s gold cannot stay.
So sad to hear of your loss. Our warmest thoughts are with you at this time. As someone who has grown to know you through the DSC, I, as well as all the other Charlie listeners know that you have the strength and love to be there for each other.
Just wanted to express my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. Words are of little consolation I know, so I hope that the passing of time will help aleviate your sorrow. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Adam, I don’t know if your Mom was anything like mine, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if she was very proud of your vision and insight and… dude… look at all these comments of suupport, prayers and thoughts and good vibes from people of all beliefs and nationalities and backgrounds!
Your Mom must have been proud of the job she did in bringing you (and your siblinds) into the world. I add my sincere prayers for you and all the other loved-ones who will be mourning her loss and celebrating her life.
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Very sorry to hear about her departure. I am, however, quite glad you were able to spend some quality time with her in recent days. I hope I am as fortunate when the time draws near for my parents.
Again, there will be prayers for you and your family.
Adam, sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing and your tribute to her brought tears to my eyes. I’m glad you got to spend time with her in her final days. I’ll be keeping your family in my thoughts.
Wishing you and your family and friends all the strenght you need to cope with the loss of your mom. Since you talked so openly about it on the Podcast it feels like I knew her. Hang in there…
I am really sorry about your mom’s passing. With parents in their sixties, I share the fear of losing them eventually, like what you had been feeling for the past two years. While the whole ordeal is painful for everyone, and the lost is profound, I am sure that she is now free of the bondage of pain, and will rest in peace.
Take care, and God speed to your mom. She will always be around.
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, Adam. I was catching up on last week’s Charlies driving home from the funeral of a very dear friend myself. It was clear you and Patricia and your family knew this was coming sooner rather than later, but that does not make it any easier, of course.
My thoughts are with you and yours at this difficult time.
Adam, everyone knew this day was coming, no one expected it however this soon. I wish you strength and may the energy sent to you from all of us help you and the family in the time to come.
Death…they call it the paradox of life.
Then again, in these times one also realizes that life itself is not ending…it is continuing yet in a different form. You have shared so much of your and your mothers energy over the past two years that she continues her life through all our hearts.
Adam, my prayers are with you and your family. I’m sure that your mother will watch over you from above, and that she is waiting up there for the day that we we will all be united again in God’s eternal love.
Adam, My heart is with you, My tears are for you, I am praying for your comfort. I too lost my mother who was a wonderful Lady. So I do understand. Your mom seemed all and more then you described. Love and Light
Adam, im sorry about your lost of your mother. My thoughts are with you Adam and the rest of your family. Good Luck with everything. Take your time, your loyal listeners will be here when you come back.
I am very sorry to hear about your mother. You will get through this difficult time, if only because getting past it will honor the memory of your mom and what she raised you to be.
Much love to you and your sisters Adam.
My wife lost her mom just a few weeks ago.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
Feel good as everyone remembers the poignant moments of her life, and those that will live on in your memories. She is now free from pain. And soon, you will be as well.
We love you Adam, and Patricia, Christina and all your family.
Times get rough like this, but even though the physical being has left, the thoughts, spirit, and memories will live on. My thoughts are with you and your family. Grieve in the way that makes you happ.
Adam. My thoughts go out to you and your family. Having just been through this myself – my Dad died on the 15th June – I can relate to your feelings right now. God Bless the children and grandchildren and Godspeed Valerie Gail Clarke. Peace.
Adam,
What a wonderful tribute to your mother! From my family to yours, all the best during these trying times. This is a qoute from someone very wise but I nver knew who said it but here it is. “If things didn’t end they would have never happened!”
Adam, Patricia & Christina
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I can only offer you these words called an Irish Blessing that was my mothers favourite who passed in August of last year:
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand
Words seem inadequate – my thoughts and prayers are with you, your sisters, your family and your mother. Thank you and your mum for sharing this difficult journey with us.
Dear Adam, Patricia and Christina,
Our condolences to you at this difficult time. What a beautiful tribute to your mom. Loved the music and the thoughts.
Adam and family, I don’t know you, I am simply a listener, ordinary bloke if you will. Our thoughts are with and I know your mother lit up your life and made you who you are and that’s all that matters.
Have a spliff and a bit of Johnny Cash, ‘Hurt’ does it for me and says everything you can say.
Listening to that DSC I was of course reminded of my mom who died at cancer in 1991 at the age of 57. My stepfather called me that day just sayin “It’s over.” Finally she was released.
I feel with you Adam.
We’re so very sorry about your mom’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers to you & your family at this time of grief.
Strength to you & yours,
Doc & Robin
We are all thinkinig of you. I lost my parents when I was in high school and I still think of them every day. Please try to remember the good times you had together and it will help you get through each day.
Adam,
I want to add my conolences to you, and your family, in this tough moment. You were blessed to have her for all this time, and as Fr. Roderick said, she’s watching over you know from a better place. Free of pain, left only with love, it’s as Tom Joad said, “I’ll be aroun’ in the dark. “I’ll be everywhere-wherever you look.” She’ll be with you always.
My heartfelt sympathies to you Adam, there is nothing I can say beyond how your DSC podshows keep me company at my own Dad’s death bedside last Christmas into the wee hours.
Thanks for so openly sharing your relationship wth your Mom with all of us. This is something that every one of us has to go through, and it helps us to realize just how important it is to develop and maintain a good relationship with our own parents before that enevitable unknown moment arrives and those who brought us into the world slip away…
I’m happy that you got to spend some real time with your mom recently and that you remained close, but I’m so sorry Adam. Even by proxy this is difficult news, so I can only imagine what you’re going through.
I know you have to be strong for your family, but don’t forget to give yourself time (and permission) to grieve.
Adam, Condolences on your loss. I know your Mom will continue to live on through you and her love, guidance, and your fond memories of her will continue to guide you in life. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I have been listening the the DSC for over a year and I almost feel like part of the family. I choose to let you and your family into my life with every show and I feel the joys and sorrows you choose to share with us. Your news today was very saddening to me and I truly feel your loss. Thank you for sharing with us. My thoughts are with you and your family.
So sorry to hear of your loss. As I said to CC, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your thoughts in this time of mourning. You didn’t have to do it, and I know we all appreciate it.
The longest days of watching someone you love suffer and deteriorate are now behind you and the days of adjusting to the absence of that same someone stretch before you like an endless road. It seems like the pain will never end and you will fear that any reduction in that pain is a betrayal to your mother. Patricia will tell you, a mother never wants her children to be unhappy for even a moment and your mom will not be the exception. Celebrate her life, her contribution, and her bravery at the end and know that she survives in the love of her family. She’ll be so much happier knowing that her loved ones can someday smile and laugh again when remembering her before those awful final days.
You seem like a fairly spiritual guy. When everything starts to settle back into routine and the feelings are still there to grapple with, you will have friends in the area that can help you through this. Happy to buy you a pint at the Onslow Arms and talk about it all.
Adam and family.
As someone who lost his Mother more than 10 years ago (and still thinks of her every single day) I can tell you that “time heals all wounds” is not always entirely 100% accurate. But I also know that as we lose our parents they live on in each of us we carry on. We pass the lessons learned through their patience and carrying ways to our children so that we can see a glimpse of them from time to time. My sincerest prayers and wishes are with you, your family, and friends. Hang in there…
I am sorry to hear about your loss today. I have experienced the same loss in my life. My sympathy goes to you and yours and know that things will get easier in time.
It has stopped hurting now. Your mother is at peace.
All of us are thinking of you. As well as your family and friends you know, you have many others you have never seen. You will be in many prayers tonight…
I’ve learned there’s different ways to look at every situation, and I thank you for taking the time to share your grief with your listeners. The message is very powerful, and it’s a great tribute and acknowledgement.
Adam, Patricia and Christine,
My deepest condolance for you all. May she rest in peace and stay strong. A lyric from a beautifull song of the band Venice says it all:
Family Tree by Venice
Branches in the wind, still standin’ here together.
One more storm to weather, we’ll get through it yet.
So we’re gathered here, holdin’ on to each other.
To let go of another one, we won’t forget.
Now as we say goodbye, to one of our own.
We may be lonely, but we’re not alone.
Though the leaves will fall, and the tears will flow.
May it always comfort us to know, the family tree will always grow.
Father down to son, mother to daughter,
Thicker than water, we are made of this.
From the earth we rise, to the earth returnin’.
We’ll keep a candle burnin’, for the ones we’ll miss.
And when we say goodbye, to one of our own.
We may be lonely, but we’re not alone.
Though the leaves will fall, and the tears will flow.
May it always comfort us to know, the family tree will always grow.
Stronger than the wind can blow….., the family tree will always grow.
Condolences. Cancer is horrible, and so many people suffer. As has been mentioned previously, words are never enough, but stay strong. Think of your mother and the good memories. You know you will never forget her, and as long as she is remembered by you, and those who loved her, she will always be there for you to chat with, to seek advice of when you need it. Stay strong, let her memory live on, and keep her alive within you. Laugh at her jokes, at what you know she would have said in any given situation.
I am sorry about the emotional babbel, but having lost a much loved grandparent myself a few months ago to cancer I find this affects me stronger than I would imagne on an emotional level.
Condolences to you, your family, and everyone who knew, and loved her. May her memory live on.
On my day job, I work in the IT dept. at a cancer research association and I am continually amazed at how many people continue to suffer and die from cancer. My own grandfather passed away from prostate cancer a few years ago. I offer you and your family my prayers during your difficult time.
I do hope that you also take the opportunity to help educate people about the dangers of cancer. Many people are unaware that approximately 1 out of 3 people will have some form of cancer in their lifetime and that the most preventable cancer, lung cancer, can be easily avoided by the cessation of smoking.
Hang in there and thank you for all that you’ve done for the podcast community. Our prayers and warm thoughts are being sent your way.
Adam, I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Just hearing your voice makes me sad. She was a great woman. You are in my prayers, Adam. The podcasting community is there for you. You were there for us. We will help you get through these times.
I am so sorry for your loss Adam. It was clear to anyone that has been listening to your show for the last year or two how much you loved your mother. I lost my brother to cancer. I loved him deeply. I will tell you that you will never get over it but, in time, it will hurt just a little less. Hold your family close and let them help you make it through this difficult time. I’m not really a praying kind of guy but my thoughts are with you and your loved ones. Tail winds Valarie!
I’m so sorry for your loss. My mom went to be with The Lord 7 years ago now. I’m still amazed at the role she played in our extended family. It’s a hole that will really never be filled.
Dear Adam,
I am so sorry so hear about the sad passing of your Mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Patricia, Christina and your sisters. Hope all the love and caring from your listeners is a comfort to you.
not that I can add anything that has not been said already, but wanted to pass along my sympathies, and best wishes for you and your family to make it through this tough time. Celebrate her life and they joys she brought to you and your family, and others she touched in her life.
Sincere condolences to you Adam, Patricia and Christina. God be with you. My Children included you all in thier prayers tonight. So I will do the same…
Been thinking aboout you all day and all the great things you’ve always said about your Mom. I’m a caregiver for my Mom and your words have always been an inspiration as I help my Mom in her final years. All the best to you, and thanks for paying respect with a mini-cast. Your Mom was lucky to have you as you were to have her.
– Bill
Hey Adam – Condolences, but please think about how wonderful having your mom in you life was. Too often after someone passes we, as is natural, tend to focus on how much we will miss them rather than how fortunate we were to have them in our lives. Please celebrate her life and what she meant and still means to you, above all else.
She has simply flown to that great Charlie in the sky.
My heart goes out to you and your family. I’m so sorry for your loss, but grateful that your mom is no longer suffering from this insidious disease. It is never easy, though. Hugs to you all.
Dammit. I’d hoped that you’d have more time with your mother. More good talks.
Even as a person who’s lost both of his parents to cancer, I just don’t know how to say anything meaningful or comforting. Her pain is gone, yes. And, should you believe in something more than this, she’s in a better place.
Sorry for your loss. My father died last year and it is like loosing a limb. It feels like it should still be there. A part of you is gone but your system needs time to figure it out. Thanks for the tear jerking commute. I drove the rest of the way in silence.
Sorry for your loss Adam. My best regards with you, I’m only 14 so I haven’t had anyone die in my family, but when hearing you announce her death to me, I immediately started sobbing uncontrollably in my bed. My condolences and may your mother Rest In Peace.
beste adam
heel veel sterkte toegewenst aan jouw en je familie. Troost je met de gedachte dat ze altijd in je hart aanwezig zal zijn, net zo als jij altijd in haar hart aanwezig was.
Maurice
Hopefully your mother is now in a more peaceful place and you, and your family can greave the loss well at the same time celebrating the good that your mum has brought the world in everyone that she has touched.
my heart goes out to you and your family and friends. Just reading the title “DSC-For Mom” on my RSS reader made my heart heavy. The comments here brought tears to my eyes. I’ve visited my mom yesterday and hugged her more than i usually do – we tend to forget to show and tell our loved ones how much they mean to us while we can.
Looking forward to hearing from you again when you found time to lament your mom.
Hi Adam, I have no idea what you’re going through, but listening to your voice this morning made me feel your pain. The beauty of our podcasting technology makes us all family. I feel like I know you, even though we’ve never met.
I pray that God will give you and your family the comfort of knowing His love and compassion.
Adam, my deepest condolences to you and all of your family. Loosing a loved one is the hardest thing that can possibly happen to you! German Podcasters and Listeners all feel with you!
We, at The Trypod Network, wish to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.
Hi Adam
sincere condolences to you and your family. While the sadness and loss may be overwhelming, it is great that she was able to pass away in peace, with all here loved ones around her.
May your life go on happily, cherishing fond memories of her.
I lost my dad a few years ago and there is not a day where I encounter something that reminds me of him, in the things I do, in my children or simply the world that goes by.
All the best,
Adam, so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I had to put on some Temple of the Dog after that Podcast. Thoughts and best wishes to you and your family.
Deepest sympathies to you and your family. Yesterday’s podcast mustn’t have been easy for you, but thank you…. As podcasters and listeners we are all part of each other’s world in some way and actually at times feel like we “know” one another therefore feel the emotions that one would when hearing news related to one of our friends. (Heck, I literally do have many friends that I’ve made through podcasting.) The music was perfect…. my mom gets an extra big hug today.
Sorry to hear about your mom passing away. It really touched me to be part of your community on this occasion. I’ve been listening to your podcast for about a year now. I initially subscribed to get some idea of how the “podosphere” was developing as an interested outsider. I thought it was odd how you included so many personal details on your show but have slowly been drawn in.
Only when I heard about your mom’s passing away did I realize how much I’ve been rooting on through your and your family’s ups and downs.
I’m sort of going through what seems to be the beginning of my own mom’s past days. She always says that “you aren’t the first person to go through this and you won’t be the last.” I was moved to tears to hear her wisdom coming through.
Thanks, Adam, for making such a seemingly impersonal medium full of hope and community and my condolences to you and yours. I’m glad to hear that your mom passed away knowing of the love that will live on in you.
Really sorry to hear about your mother’s death. Despite the fact that she was still very young (her age came as a shock to me when I heard it this morning) she managed to see you make a huge success of what was still a tiny venture when I started listening to the Charlie in October 2004. Let that thought remain with you in a Senseonesque way!
Unfortunately my own attitude to death is such that I could not listen to the show beyond the first minute or so and I hope what I write here does not sound out of place in the context of anything what you might have said.
Looking forward to listening to you for many years to come…
I’m so sorry for your loss. You and I are about the same age, and I lost my mom too. They were too young, and I’m sorry for the pain you and your family are feeling. Take care and take time to grieve, and then enjoy life to its fullest. It’s what all parents want for their children. She must have been very proud of you.
(Like Yohan, I found it too painful to listen to your latest show and hope my comments aren’t out of context; but know that my thoughts are with you.)
Stay strong, and talk as much as you can. I know what you are in. My mom died last october from a double cancer after one year of combat (09 sept 38 – 07 oct 2005).. It was very difficult for me, so keep everyone you love around you. Take care of you and your family, and don’t forget to smile. Life is ahead, not behind, and you have people to take care of )
I knew when i saw the title it wasn’t good news.
Your mother will aways be alive in your heart. The joy, the kisses, the hugs, the moral compass is her life in you. Be cool my man …….
Through our arts do we create and show the greatness of humanity. This podcast showed to me how great your mother affected your life, but more importantly showed how great an impact she had on the world around you. Best wishes.
Dear Adam, I’m so sad to hear news. Remembering some of the stories you’ve told abouti your mum still puts a smile on my face. May your mum rest in peace. My thoughts and most sincere condolences are with you and your family.
So sorry for your loss. The love that shines through the sorrow in your voice speaks volumes about what kind of person your mother was. May she rest in peace and live forever in the hearts and minds of those who were lucky enough to know her well.
My thoughts are with you. My parents are close to 80 and the thought of them someday not being around is sobering. I’m sure that you will work on thinking of the wonderful things your mother gave you and keep it in a special place.
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away
into the next room.
I am I,
and you are you;
whatever we were to each other,
that, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way
which you always used,
put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air
of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we shared together.
Let my name ever be
the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all
that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you,
for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just around the corner.
All is well.

My sympathy to you and your family. I know there is no loss quite like the one of your mother. I too lost my mother to illness a couple of years back. She is part of you and it’s comforting to know that you’ll have that until the end.
From being a regular listener of the DSC, I could tell that your mother was a big influence on you and from that I can only imagine what kind of lady she really was. It’s a sad loss for all the people that she touched.
My prayers and thoughts are with you during this trying time.
Thank you for sharing this passing with your extended family. I listened to the show while driving to an AA meeting in Maine this morning, and was touched by your openness and dignity, and by your ability to evoke the unique presence of your Mom in just a few heartfelt words. I’m sure she can subscribe to the Charlie from where she is, and that she is well pleased now to be part of her son’s voice moving round the world with undying wit and warmth for humanity.
Adam and family,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. Words (my specialty) fail me right now.
Thank you for sharing this moment in your life with all of us.
[...] Man Alive! After taking the weekend off for family issues, moronic revolutionary holidays and “vital artistic necessities”, I am informed that Adam Curry’s mother has passed away, Amanda Congdon is leaving Rocketboom, David Hasselhoff lost a battle with a chandelier and Hunter S. However, on a more pleasant and appropriate note, Ken Lay, the head fraudster and chief thief-architect of Enron has died of a heart massive coronary. Adam, My condolences and prayers for you and your family. Thank you for sharing so much about your Mom on the DSC over the last year or so. We have been there, while listening, with you every step of the way and all mourn with you. Take Care, Michael B.
I’m so sorry for your loss! My prayers are with you and your family. I feel like I’ve been on the journey with you via the DSC. By the comments here, I’m not alone – nor are you.
I believe (or at least I like to, as I just lost my father on 6/26) that the emptiness you feel is the piece of your heart that your mom required on her journey. You didn’t so much lose a piece of you as it has been re-utilized. Be proud that you loved someone hard enough to be hurt by it.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve been a long time listener and followed the story of your Mom’s sickness so we all feel like family and feel the lost too.
I lost my Mom 10 years ago and my Dad 2 years ago, both to cancer. I know there is sadness in your heart but be glad that you had a chance to say “goodbye” and knowing she is in a better place and free of pain.
Take care and my condolences and payers to you and your family.
I was so saddened to see a memorial DSC to your Mum appear in my feed list. I know things had been hard with her – I am so sorry. My best wishes to you and your entire family at this difficult time.
[...] Todd Cochran: I am sitting here beyond pissed, not because they have my site automatically listed on their site that is fine because they are a directory, but in the way they have done it, this makes people assume that my podcast is part of Podshow, and diminishes my brand. They have made it near impossible to get to my home page from their site unless your really digg it’s 100% unacceptable. Dave Winer: I’m not happy that they’re taking over my content, putting their copyright notice on it, creating their own version of my RSS feed, adding their crap, and taking out my copyright. They’re really asking for trouble. On a massive scale. For example, here’s their version of Engadget’s podcast feed. Copyright is “na.” Uhhhh. Hmmm. Same with Meet The Press. Here’s their program guide. Is your podcast there? Paul Colligan seems slightly more sympathetic with Podshow: A few things to ponder / think about:Adam’s Mom died days before this launch. I can imagine nothing worse. Give him some time to mourn. They had horrible timing too, chosing a launch date just days from the passing of Adam Curry’s mother. Perhaps in hindsight a week’s delay and a bit more outside QA would have been in order. [...]

Hi Adam
My heart goes out to you. I lost my mother 3 days after you on July 6th. I know that youi are, as I am, heartbroken. But take comfort in the fact that there is no more pain, no more doctors, no more hospitals for your mom. Only peace in heaven. I know that I will see my mom again in heaven. Until then, she will always be in my heart for nothing can break the bond that we have with our mothers
May God grant you the strenth for this very difficult time.

Stay strong Adam. Never an easy thing. Godspeed to your mother.

Strength brother, to you and your family.

It just takes time… time to cry… time to heal… time to be…
Adam, met oprechte deelneming wens ik jou en jouw familie heel veel sterkte in deze periode.

You and the family are still in our prayers, Adam. You’ve got a whole army of people here behind you to lean on, brother.
Adam, God bless you and your family. My mom passed 5 years ago and it hurts as much now as it did then. Lean on your friends and family and you’ll make it. We all do, somehow. Thank the Lord that you had a good relationship with your mom and hopefully, there are no regrets. Hang in there.
Adam,
Your mom is free from pain, from suffering, from the sores in her mouth. She’s now at peace. My thoughts are with you on this day.

It sucks this all happened so close to the big announcments going on in your work life. I guess every bit of sweet gets a little bitter mixed in. Thank god your mother isn’t suffering anymore. All that’s gold cannot stay.
Sad to hear Adam. Stay strong, I wish you and your family the best. This things are always hard to go through…

Thought this poem might help
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

My thoughts are with you.
Very sorry to hear about her departure. I am, however, quite glad you were able to spend some quality time with her in recent days. I hope I am as fortunate when the time draws near for my parents.
Again, there will be prayers for you and your family.

Despite the collective works of great authors, poets and songwriters, words always seem inadequate at times like this.
Just know, mate, that there are an awful lot of people out here who are thinking of you and your family…
Adam, sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing and your tribute to her brought tears to my eyes. I’m glad you got to spend time with her in her final days. I’ll be keeping your family in my thoughts.

Dear Adam, Patrica and Christina,
I am really sorry about your mom’s passing.
Peace, and my thoughts are with you.
Thoughts are with you, Patricia, and Christina and the rest of your family. You’re not alone.

HANG ON IN THERE!

Best wishes Adam. She is hopefully in a better place now.
My dear Adam, may you know no more sorrow, and may comfort envelop you and your family at this time and always.
The Earth is like a tree, we are the fruit of the tree, when were ripe, God picks us.
Adam, my prayers are with you and your family. I’m sure that your mother will watch over you from above, and that she is waiting up there for the day that we we will all be united again in God’s eternal love.
Fr. Roderick
Ik wil via deze weg de gehele familie Curry veel sterkte toewensen.

The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand

Thanks for so openly sharing your relationship wth your Mom with all of us. This is something that every one of us has to go through, and it helps us to realize just how important it is to develop and maintain a good relationship with our own parents before that enevitable unknown moment arrives and those who brought us into the world slip away…

Adam,
The longest days of watching someone you love suffer and deteriorate are now behind you and the days of adjusting to the absence of that same someone stretch before you like an endless road.
My prayers are with you.
Sterkte Adam!

It has stopped hurting now. Your mother is at peace.
All of us are thinking of you. As well as your family and friends you know, you have many others you have never seen. You will be in many prayers tonight…
A moment of silence for you.
I’ve learned there’s different ways to look at every situation, and I thank you for taking the time to share your grief with your listeners. The message is very powerful, and it’s a great tribute and acknowledgement.
Adam, don’t want to be the asshole here but shouldn’t such a podcast be adfree?
Stay strong !
Sterkte

So sorry for your loss, Adam. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Adam our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
From my family to yours, our condolences and prayers for your family.
Go with peace.
Adam,
On my day job, I work in the IT dept. at a cancer research association and I am continually amazed at how many people continue to suffer and die from cancer.
As always, the best.

It’s very sad to gear this, but I wish God fills you with blessings, to you and your family. You inspire a lot of us people.
Dammit. I’d hoped that you’d have more time with your mother. More good talks.
Even as a person who’s lost both of his parents to cancer, I just don’t know how to say anything meaningful or comforting. Her pain is gone, yes. And, should you believe in something more than this, she’s in a better place.
But she’s still mom. And you still miss her.
Be well.
You share and we care, our thoughts are with you and your family.
Adam,
I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. You and Patricia and Christina and all your family will be in my prayers.
Sorry for your loss. My father died last year and it is like loosing a limb. It feels like it should still be there. A part of you is gone but your system needs time to figure it out. Thanks for the tear jerking commute. I drove the rest of the way in silence.
Adam,

Adam,
my heart goes out to you and your family and friends.
Adam I’d like to add my condolences to thoses expressed here by all your listeners – my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time
Hi Adam, I have no idea what you’re going through, but listening to your voice this morning made me feel your pain.
Hi Adam,
We, at The Trypod Network, wish to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.
All the best,
Charley
Hi Adam,
My deepest condolences to you and your family.
Wish you all the best,

Hi Adam
sincere condolences to you and your family.
All the best,
Mike
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Adam.

Adam, I am so sorry for your loss, I hope you feel better knowing all your friends and listeners are with you in this moment.
Hey Adam,
Sorry to hear about your mom passing away.
Sincerely,
Robert Dawson
Adam,
my heart goes out to you and your family. Take good care of your loved ones.
Love,
Jan
Adam,
Really sorry to hear about your mother’s death.
Looking forward to listening to you for many years to come…
Johan

I’m so sorry for your loss. You and I are about the same age, and I lost my mom too. They were too young, and I’m sorry for the pain you and your family are feeling. Take care and take time to grieve, and then enjoy life to its fullest. It’s what all parents want for their children. She must have been very proud of you.
(Like Yohan, I found it too painful to listen to your latest show and hope my comments aren’t out of context; but know that my thoughts are with you.)

Hi Adam,
Stay strong, and talk as much as you can. I know what you are in. My mom died last october from a double cancer after one year of combat (09 sept 38 – 07 oct 2005).. It was very difficult for me, so keep everyone you love around you. Take care of you and your family, and don’t forget to smile. Life is ahead, not behind, and you have people to take care of

Be courageous,

I knew when i saw the title it wasn’t good news.
Your mother will aways be alive in your heart. The joy, the kisses, the hugs, the moral compass is her life in you. Be cool my man …….
Adam,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of you mother. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.
God bless,
Chuck

All best thoughts with you and your family and your sister and father. Prayers are being said for you.
It’s Tuesday 0800 and I’m sat in my office listening to “DSC for Mom” with tears in my eyes.
A fitting tribute.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time
Through our arts do we create and show the greatness of humanity. This podcast showed to me how great your mother affected your life, but more importantly showed how great an impact she had on the world around you. Best wishes.
This podcast was a beautiful sentiment.

Dear Adam, I’m so sad to hear news. Remembering some of the stories you’ve told abouti your mum still puts a smile on my face. May your mum rest in peace. My thoughts and most sincere condolences are with you and your family.
Sorry for your loss Adam, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Beautiful song at the end, couldn’t find it on the PMN, could you link to it?
respect for the way you’re handling all of this adam. sterkte…
So sorry for your loss. The love that shines through the sorrow in your voice speaks volumes about what kind of person your mother was. May she rest in peace and live forever in the hearts and minds of those who were lucky enough to know her well.
Adam -
My thoughts are with you. My parents are close to 80 and the thought of them someday not being around is sobering. I’m sure that you will work on thinking of the wonderful things your mother gave you and keep it in a special place.

Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away
into the next room.
I am I,
and you are you;
whatever we were to each other,
that, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way
which you always used,
put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air
of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we shared together.
Let my name ever be
the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all
that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you,
for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just around the corner.
All is well.

I lost my grandmother to lung cancer on July 3, 1990. Healing thoughts for you and yours during this difficult time.
Adam:
Adan, Patricia and Christine,
My condolances and my hopes and prayers are with you and your family. Lean on them they are our greatest strength.

Adam,
I’m so sorry for your loss! My prayers are with you and your family. I feel like I’ve been on the journey with you via the DSC. By the comments here, I’m not alone – nor are you.
Randy
Adam,
I believe (or at least I like to, as I just lost my father on 6/26) that the emptiness you feel is the piece of your heart that your mom required on her journey. You didn’t so much lose a piece of you as it has been re-utilized. Be proud that you loved someone hard enough to be hurt by it.
My thoughts are with you!
HI Adam, my condolences. Just did here about it dis morning. Keep the good work and stay strong!!
Dear Adam,
I’m so sorry for your loss.
Tom
Dear Adam & Family,
I was so saddened to see a memorial DSC to your Mum appear in my feed list. I know things had been hard with her – I am so sorry. My best wishes to you and your entire family at this difficult time.
David Cohen.
Much peace and love to you and your family at this time.
[...] Adam’s Mom died days before this launch. I can imagine nothing worse. Give him some time to mourn. [...]
While I fully agree with this, this is not about Adam Curry, this is about Podshow and Adam Curry might be the face of podshow, but I am sure he is not the one who makes every decision by himself. [...]
[...] I really do hope that the whole feed thing with them was a glitch, and given any evidence otherwise I am willing to extend the benefit of the doubt. I also wholly understand that businesses go into business to make money, and I don’t begrudge that, but they also need to be very careful not to step on the toes of people who are technically still “independent” podcasters.
